{"id":706,"date":"2026-06-04T15:44:09","date_gmt":"2026-06-04T15:44:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=706"},"modified":"2026-06-04T15:44:09","modified_gmt":"2026-06-04T15:44:09","slug":"trump-insider-spills-embarrassing-theory-about-his-attacks-on-female-cnn-star","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=706","title":{"rendered":"Trump Insider Spills Embarrassing Theory About His Attacks on Female CNN Star"},"content":{"rendered":"<article>\n<p>A former White House insider has suggested that Donald Trump\u2019s frequent attacks on CNN\u2019s Kaitlan Collins are because he is \u201cscared\u201d of the reporter.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=705\">Top Doctor Demands Answers Over Trump Health Concerns<\/a><\/p>\n<p>During Wednesday\u2019s episode of CNN\u2019s <i>NewsNight<\/i>, Sarah Matthews, who served as Trump\u2019s deputy press secretary during his first White House term, was asked by host Abby Phillip for her reaction to the president lashing out at Collins in the Oval Office, including demanding that she smile.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Matthews suggested that during the president\u2019s first term, Collins was the \u201cone reporter that scared\u201d former White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany and Trump the most.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cThere will be times when Kayleigh McEnany wouldn\u2019t even call on Kaitlan Collins at press conferences, at press briefings, because she didn\u2019t want to answer the questions,\u201d Matthews said. \u201cBecause Kaitlan Collins is a very, very good reporter, she\u2019s the best at what she does, and I think that\u2019s why you see Trump go after her more ferociously than any other reporter in that room.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is disgusting to watch him tell a woman that she needs to smile while doing her job. I\u2019ve seen Kaitlan smile plenty of times, but when she\u2019s asking someone a hard-hitting question, I don\u2019t think that means she has to smile while doing it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During a heated appearance before the press, Trump launched an unprompted attack on Collins after being asked by another reporter about the decision to drop the $1.8 billion \u201cAnti-Weaponization Fund\u201d following intense backlash.<\/p>\n<p>Trump began ranting about how people, including himself, had their lives \u201cdestroyed\u201d by federal investigations into him before turning his attention to CNN and Collins.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCNN\u2019s a very corrupt organization, with a corrupt reporter standing right there,\u201d he said while pointing at Collins. \u201cNever smiles. She never\u2014she\u2019s a young, beautiful woman, never smiles. I never see a smile on her face. I see her standing with hatred in her eyes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=704\">Furious Backlash to Ivanka\u2019s Luxury Island Plot Is About to Get Worse<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Trump also lashed out at Collins and told her to \u201cbe quiet\u201d when she noted that Republicans had also condemned the Department of Justice\u2019s slush fund, under which Jan. 6 rioters could have been eligible.<\/p>\n<p>The incident is the latest in a long line of Trump\u2019s verbal assaults on female journalists. This has included calling Collins \u201cstupid and nasty,\u201d describing The New York Times\u2019 Katie Rogers as \u201cugly, both inside and out,\u201d and shushing a Bloomberg reporter while telling her, \u201cQuiet, piggy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday\u2019s outburst was not even the first time that the 79-year-old president has complained that Collins does not smile while doing her job.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou are so bad. You know, you are the worst reporter. No wonder,\u201d Trump told Collins in February after she asked a question about Jeffrey Epstein.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe\u2019s a young woman. I don\u2019t think I\u2019ve ever seen you smile. I\u2019ve known you for 10 years.
