Comedian and actress Lily Tomlin voiced Frizzle in the original series, while Kate McKinnon voices Frizzle\u2019s younger sister, Fiona, in the Netflix reboot.<\/p>\n<p>Using imagery from the Netflix reboot, the White House\u2019s post renamed the vehicle \u201cThe Magic Deportation Bus,\u201d with Ms. Frizzle and her chameleon, Liz, in the front and five people cuffed in the rear, with the circular windows removed to make them more visible.<\/p>\n<p>The doctored post was linked to a Fox News article, with the headline \u201cICE quietly arrests jaw dropping number of illegal immigrants in massive D.C. area operation.\u201d The story referred to \u201cOperation Safe Community \u2014 Washington, D.C.,\u201d which ICE sources told Fox News saw officers arresting 1,328 immigrants in the first 14 days of August.<\/p>\n<p>The White House\u2019s social media caption read, \u201cPlease let this be a normal field trip&#8230;\u201d referencing a line the character Arnold said in almost every episode as the bus started on a new journey.<\/p>\n<p>Social media reacted quickly to the White House Trump-ifying the beloved cartoon.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMAGA ruins everything,\u201d the PatriotTakes account posted.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement to the Daily Beast, White House spokeswoman Lauren Bis said, \u201cTake a ride on the Magic School Bus to your home country!\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=6029\">ICE Barbie\u2019s Successor Blasted for Cosplay as Race Driver<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Daily Beast has contacted Netflix, Scholastic and PBS for comment.<\/p>\n<p><i>The Magic School Bus <\/i>isn\u2019t the only children\u2019s favorite to be targeted by the Trump administration.<\/p>\n<p>In November last year, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth posted a twisted parody that turned Franklin the Turtle, a character loved by children for decades, into an armed killer.<\/p>\n<p>On his social media, Hegseth shared a mock-up of a book titled \u201cFranklin Targets Narco Terrorists,\u201d which shows the usually gentle turtle standing on the edge of a helicopter, firing a missile at a boat. <\/p>\n<p>The publisher behind the children\u2019s franchise hit back with a post on X.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFranklin the Turtle is a beloved Canadian icon who has inspired generations of children and stands for kindness, empathy, and inclusivity,\u201d Kids Can Press wrote. \u201cWe strongly condemn any denigrating, violent, or unauthorized use of Franklin\u2019s name or image which directly contradicts these values.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The White House is facing increasing pushback in its posts.<\/p>\n<p>A-list musicians including Taylor Swift have had their songs used in videos to soundtrack Trump administration posts, only for the music to be muted after copyright appeals.<\/p>\n<p>In July, Katy Perry was \u201cdeeply appalled and angry\u201d that her 2010 hit \u201cFirework\u201d had been used for a White House montage of military strike clips. The post later removed her song.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Ariana Grande\u2019s song \u201cbye\u201d was used to soundtrack footage of people being handcuffed during ICE raids in a video posted to TikTok in June by the White House. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cPlease do not ever use my music \u2060in relation to this barbaric, inhumane, heinous nonsense,\u201d Grande responded in a now-deleted comment, reported Reuters and TMZ. \u201cF&#8212; ICE,\u201d she added.
