{"id":6001,"date":"2026-08-24T16:13:55","date_gmt":"2026-08-24T16:13:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=6001"},"modified":"2026-08-24T16:13:55","modified_gmt":"2026-08-24T16:13:55","slug":"fox-news-host-delivers-grim-midterm-warning-for-trump","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=6001","title":{"rendered":"Fox News Host Delivers Grim Midterm Warning for Trump"},"content":{"rendered":"<article>\n<p>Fox News\u2019 Lawrence Jones has questioned whether Republicans even have the \u201cenergy\u201d to perform well in the midterm elections.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=5999\">Trump, 80, Explodes in All-Caps Morning Meltdown as His Crisis Deepens<\/a><\/p>\n<p>During Monday\u2019s broadcast of <i>Fox &amp; Friends<\/i>, Jones and the rest of the hosts began discussing The New York Times report on Jared Kushner\u2019s secret meeting with House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, who is in line to become House speaker should Democrats retake the lower chamber in November.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Jones suggested it is a \u201ccoin flip\u201d over who will win control of the House in the midterms before raising several concerns he has spotted within the GOP.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not saying the Republicans aren\u2019t trying, but I don\u2019t see the energy with the Republicans right now,\u201d Jones said. \u201cAnd I just think they have a hard time explaining how we got into this mess when it comes to the Biden administration pumping all the money into the economy and inflation and the impact.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey say the number one rule in politics is if you\u2019re explaining, you\u2019re losing, and they haven\u2019t been able to make that case.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The GOP is widely expected to lose control of the House in the midterms as a result of intense backlash to President Donald Trump\u2019s second term and his handling of the economy and inflation.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=5998\">Putin Launches Desperate Power Grab as Humiliating Attacks Escalate<\/a><\/p>\n<p>As <i>Fox &amp; Friends<\/i> host Brian Kilmeade noted, the fact that Kushner privately met with Jeffries to reportedly try to find \u201ccommon ground\u201d suggests that even the president\u2019s son-in-law expects the GOP to lose control of the House to the Democrats in November.<\/p>\n<p>When fellow <i>Fox &amp; Friends<\/i> host Ainsley Earhardt asked Jones what he would like to see from Republicans ahead of the crucial nationwide elections, he replied that they need to be \u201chonest\u201d with the American people on issues such as the economy.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>\u201cSay, \u2018Look, we haven\u2019t gotten here as fast as we would want, but we were in the ditch, and things are going well as it relates to where we came from,\u2019\u201d Jones said.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>\u201cYou think things are bad right now?
