{"id":5795,"date":"2026-08-20T19:12:36","date_gmt":"2026-08-20T19:12:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=5795"},"modified":"2026-08-20T19:12:36","modified_gmt":"2026-08-20T19:12:36","slug":"trump-set-to-defy-scotus-with-ballroom-bombshell","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=5795","title":{"rendered":"Trump Set To Defy SCOTUS with Ballroom Bombshell"},"content":{"rendered":"<article>\n<p>Donald Trump has warned that not even the Supreme Court will be able to halt construction of his ballroom project because he built it with indestructible concrete that can\u2019t be taken down.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=5793\">The Only Truth About Trump\u2019s America Is That Everything Is a Lie<\/a><\/p>\n<p>America\u2019s highest court is expected to rule on Friday whether the project should go ahead, after a federal judge declared this month the president did not have the authority to unilaterally demolish parts of the White House without approval and funding from Congress.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>But buried in a court filing from the administration is an extraordinary revelation: that the ever-expanding project\u2014which now forms part of an underground military complex complete with bomb shelters\u2014was deliberately built with material used in nuclear power plants that would be \u201cvirtually impossible to deconstruct.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cQuite frankly, if the building were tragically ordered to be taken down, or even altered, by the court, there would be no way to do so,\u201d said Solicitor General John Sauer.<\/p>\n<p>The court filing highlights how much secret work has taken place since Trump tore down the East Wing last year to make way for his ballroom, a vanity project Americans did not vote for, and most polls say they do not want.<\/p>\n<p>As the U.S. national debt topped a record $40 trillion this week, Trump took reporters on an impromptu tour to show off the progress he\u2019s made, boasting about how special guests would soon be able to enjoy cocktails on the South Lawn before heading into the grand ballroom, which he said is now \u201cso much a military component, with the drones and the bomb shelters and everything else that we have in there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to the court filing, the ballroom project is now part of an \u201cintegrated\u201d complex that could not be separated from the event space itself. <\/p>\n<p>This is pertinent because the federal judge\u2019s ruling this month halted work on the \u201cabove-ground\u201d construction, but the administration argues that the project \u201cshould not be enjoined\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>It also says that any attempt to halt construction at all could threaten the safety of a president who has already had numerous assassination attempts on his life.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=5791\">Trump Whisperer Sparks MAGA Civil War Over Blonde Aide, 35<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe materials used, both in concrete and steel (and even glass), are meant to stop bombs, rockets, missiles, and even nuclear blasts,\u201d the filing says.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is, in a very large way, a \u2018safe room\u2019 for the Presidency and the continuity of government. The concrete, for example, is \u201cthe hardest and strongest concrete there is, the type used in nuclear power plants\u2014it is impermeable, and virtually impossible to deconstruct.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Supreme Court faces a deadline on Friday to decide whether construction of the $400 million ballroom should continue while legal challenges proceed.<\/p>\n<p>But the administration\u2019s filing paves the way for Trump to attempt to defy the court by arguing that the project simply can\u2019t be stopped.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat line has long since been crossed,\u201d said Sauer. <\/p>\n<p>However, the National Trust for Historic Preservation, which filed the initial lawsuit to thwart the ballroom, said the administration had \u201cno unilateral legal authority\u2014constitutional, statutory, or otherwise\u201d to build the ballroom without congressional approval.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey are working around the clock in an attempt to outrace judicial review,\u201d said trust President Brent Leggs. <\/p>\n<div>\n<p>\u201cEach court that has reviewed this case has agreed with the National Trust.
