At some point, bonds become a very interesting alternative to stocks.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cAnd so that\u2019s what you have to be careful for right now, because you\u2019ve got the summer seasonality, which is really poor, usually between August and September,\u201d he added. \u201cBut when bonds start to offer competitive returns relative to stocks, that\u2019s when the risk-reward deteriorates.\u201d<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>McDonald said the scenario was \u201cvery similar\u201d to the summer of 1987, when the infamous Black Monday saw a sudden global stock market crash. The Dow plummeted about 22 percent in a single day, which remains the biggest one-day drop in stock market history.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not saying we\u2019re gonna get a crash, but historically, when bonds start to threaten stocks at this degree, especially with global rates across the G7 going out, investors watching us right now, you have to have extreme caution,\u201d he warned.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=5643\">ICE Goons Busted Using Badges to Sexually Abuse Victims<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo Larry, what\u2019s the answer then?\u201d Casone responded. \u201cI mean, I understand the red flashing signals that you\u2019re putting out there, but what is the fix, in your opinion?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>McDonald encouraged Americans to look at figures like Warren Buffet, the legendary investor, who\u2019s sitting on a lot of cash.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo that\u2019s the alternative: stay away from the crowded trade when bonds become this kind of a threat,\u201d he advised.<\/p>\n<p>The Trump administration has been hard at work touting the supposed strength of the American economy, with the 80-year-old president flying out to the West Coast to promote tax relief initiatives.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>On Tuesday, the yield on 30-year bonds issued by the U.S. Treasury hit 5.327 percent\u2014a level not seen since 2007, when it topped out at 5.44 percent just before the global financial system began to fall apart.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=5641\">Trump Insider Spills on Who Could Replace Karoline Leavitt<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An investment guru has warned investors to practice \u201cextreme caution\u201d as the Trump economy flashes warning signs.
