Pirro\u2019s office announced that the damage to the pool\u2019s lining was actually the result of the \u201crushed and flawed\u201d installation work of a contractor hired to carry out Trump\u2019s renovation project, rather than vandalism.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Trump officials and allies are rolling their eyes at Pirro\u2019s actions, with an administration official telling Semafor that the U.S. attorney is merely trying to appease the president and \u201csave her job at all costs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Trump is still pushing the false claim that the reflecting pool was targeted by vandals even after his own handpicked U.S. attorney said there is no evidence to suggest this. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur beautiful World War II Memorial was just hit by Spray Painting Vandals.
