{"id":4907,"date":"2026-08-04T19:42:13","date_gmt":"2026-08-04T19:42:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=4907"},"modified":"2026-08-04T19:42:13","modified_gmt":"2026-08-04T19:42:13","slug":"trump-goon-moves-to-dismiss-more-reflecting-pool-cases","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=4907","title":{"rendered":"Trump Goon Moves to Dismiss More Reflecting Pool Cases"},"content":{"rendered":"<article>\n<p>President Donald Trump\u2019s crusade against the purported Reflecting Pool vandals has been hit with a humiliating roadblock.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=4905\">Judges Tear Apart Trump\u2019s Free Speech BS in Dozens of Rulings<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The office of Jeanine Pirro, the Trump-appointed U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, has dropped charges against three other individuals previously accused of destroying the president\u2019s pet renovation project in Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Prosecutors have dropped misdemeanor charges against Justin Carreno, Sophie Dennison-Gibby, and Cameron Thiers, according to their lawyers and court filings. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The three individuals, along with David Hearn, were painted as \u201cvandals\u201d by Trump over a supposed slit in the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.<\/p>\n<p>News about the scrapping of a felony vandalism charge against Hearn, a 67-year-old Olympic canoeist, sent Trump into a meltdown over the weekend. Hearn was the only person indicted by a grand jury in the Reflecting Pool saga.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnyone who\u2019s read the pleading that was filed in Mr. Hearn\u2019s case would understand exactly why they would have to dismiss against the remainder of those charged,\u201d Thiers\u2019 attorney G. Allen Dale told NPR.<\/p>\n<p>Dennison-Gibby\u2019s attorney Jamison Koehler similarly told CBS News that his client \u201cwas arrested for a crime any rational person knows she did not commit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were all at the pool, there\u2019s no slashes,\u201d Benowitz said, adding that the government \u201cliterally fabricated a crime.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis was the epitome of the politicization of the criminal justice system,\u201d he continued. \u201cIt\u2019s just the sort of gut-wrenching reality of it. The guy just goes down to the Reflecting Pool and walks out with a misdemeanor and is fired from his job.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia did not immediately respond to a request for comment.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=4904\">Trump\u2019s Memecoin Grift Hit With Calls for \u2018Scam\u2019 Probe<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u200b\u200bTrump has repeatedly insisted that vandals cut a slit of up to 350 feet\u2014later amended to 300 yards\u2014into the Reflecting Pool. On several occasions, he accused unknown \u201csick\u201d and \u201cterrible\u201d culprits of using a knife, a box cutter, and a razor.<\/p>\n<p>But prosecutors said the Interior Department failed to fully and accurately disclose information showing that contractor errors, not vandalism, were responsible for the damage that earned Trump\u2019s wrath.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGiven all of this newly discovered information, it is difficult to attribute the widespread damage to the Reflecting Pool to vandalism,\u201d Pirro wrote in her motion to the court in Hearn\u2019s case.<\/p>\n<p>The move sent Trump into a tailspin that continued into Monday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrankly, I think she choked because the judge was really vicious. Instead of going after the people that did it, the judge went after her and went after her department, and I guess she choked,\u201d Trump told reporters. \u201cI don\u2019t know what the hell happened.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On Saturday, Trump also wrote in a Truth Social post that he disagreed \u201c100%\u201d with Pirro.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t know what she was thinking?\u201d he said. \u201cThere may have been some contractor difficulty, but the major damage was caused by VANDALS!\u201d<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Pirro hosted <i>Justice With Judge Jeanine <\/i>on Fox News from 2011 to 2022 before becoming a co-host of <i>The Five<\/i>. She remained on <i>The Five<\/i> until May 2025 when Trump named her the interim United States attorney for the District of Columbia.
