Marjorie Taylor Greene tweeted on X Saturday, alongside a photo of the newly organized Trump opposition team meeting in Tucker Carlson\u2019s hunting lodge-like Maine home.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>\u201cWe said no more foreign wars and we meant it and supported Donald Trump because he made that promise. But he\u2019s betrayed us all,\u201d Greene continued. \u201cOur commitment is America First for all Americans, right, left, and center. The movement has begun.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The post was seen by more than 5.5 million people and racked up nearly 10,000 comments, with some defending Trump and others attacking him. <\/p>\n<p>Several comments wondered why Trump\u2019s supporters could have been so delusional to begin with. \u201cEverything Trump said was a lie,\u201d noted one response. \u201cThe only good question is why anyone believed him in the first place??\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou\u2019re a fraud&#8230; a terrible judge of character,\u201d another tweeted to Greene. \u201cWhy should anyone listen to your assessments on anything now?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kentucky GOP Rep. Thomas Massie, former director of the National Counterterrorism Center Joe Kent, and Greene\u2019s conservative journalist husband, Brian Glenn\u2014whom she married just days ago in Las Vegas\u2014were among those at the gathering.<\/p>\n<p>Greene, who resigned from Congress in January following several high-profile clashes with Trump, had hinted earlier about starting a new political movement or party that would attract activists from both the \u201cright and the left.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=4739\">Oscar-Winning Actor Draws MAGA\u2019s Ire Over Social Media Post<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Carlson told the Columbia Journalism Reviewlast month: \u201cThere\u2019s going to be a third party, and I\u2019m going to do everything I can to bring that about.\u201d He has apologized to his followers for previously backing Trump. <\/p>\n<p>In a scathing Bloomberg interview with journalist Mishal Husain in July, Carlson blamed the \u201cweak\u201d president for tying the U.S. to a no-win war with Iran simply to serve Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu\u2019s drive for Mideast regime change.<\/p>\n<p>Kent resigned his position in March because of Trump\u2019s war, saying in a statement then: \u201cIran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Massie lost his primary race after clashing with Trump over the war and the administration\u2019s refusal to release all the Epstein files.<\/p>\n<p>Trump has called Greene a \u201ctraitor,\u201d Carlson a \u201clow IQ person,\u201d Kent a \u201csleazebag,\u201d and Massie \u201cweak and pathetic.\u201d<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>New movements challenging the two-party system typically struggle.
