{"id":4549,"date":"2026-07-30T08:10:05","date_gmt":"2026-07-30T08:10:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=4549"},"modified":"2026-07-30T08:10:05","modified_gmt":"2026-07-30T08:10:05","slug":"brewery-punished-after-promising-free-beers-when-trump-dies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=4549","title":{"rendered":"Brewery Punished After Promising Free Beers When Trump Dies"},"content":{"rendered":"<article>\n<p>A progressive Wisconsin brewery says its liquor license has been snatched by state officials months after it promoted a free beer day for when President Donald Trump dies. <\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=4547\">\u201860 Minutes\u2019 Staff Recoil at MAGA-Curious Boss\u2019 \u2018Joke\u2019 Hires<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Minocqua Brewing Company\u2019s owner received an alcohol permit revocation notice from the Wisconsin Department of Revenue\u2019s Division of Alcoholic Beverages, he revealed on the brewery\u2019s Substack.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The notice, dated July 15, came nearly six months after a post by the brewery promised \u201cfree beer\u201d on the day Trump dies with the hashtag, \u201c#freebeerday.\u201d As it stands, the brewery must halt alcohol sales by Tuesday\u2014though its owner says he has no plans to cut off his kegs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cAs you can imagine, I\u2019m not taking this lying down,\u201d Kirk Bangstad wrote in the Substack post. \u201cWe\u2019re going to fight the state of Wisconsin tooth and nail, and once again, they\u2019ll have to pry me out of my taprooms before I stop selling beer to thirsty progressives who come to visit us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The brewery was purchased by Bangstad and his late wife, Elizabeth Smith, in 2016. Bangstad aggressively rebranded the company into a hot spot for liberal Wisconsinites after the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>Officially, the state says Bangstad\u2019s business is in hot water for transporting and selling beer brewed in Illinois without proper Wisconsin permits and excise tax payments, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The beers include Sen. Bernie Sanders, Rep.
