{"id":4386,"date":"2026-07-27T23:14:13","date_gmt":"2026-07-27T23:14:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=4386"},"modified":"2026-07-27T23:14:13","modified_gmt":"2026-07-27T23:14:13","slug":"netflix-exec-fired-after-sharing-secret-during-companys-trust-exercise","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=4386","title":{"rendered":"Netflix Exec Fired After Sharing Secret During Company\u2019s Trust Exercise"},"content":{"rendered":"<article>\n<p>Netflix executive and film producer Kevin Baillie was fired from his job for allegedly using medically prescribed  after the loss of his mother. <\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=4384\">Man Hikes 10 Miles After Impaling Himself in Freak Trekking Pole Accident<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The vice president and head of creative at Eyeline Studios, Netflix\u2019s visual effects division, revealed his drug use during a \u201cvulnerability-trust exercise\u201d at Netflix\u2019s Sendero Ranch in Northern California.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The exercise, during which participants shared about their personal experiences, was intended to foster connections between coworkers.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>At the January 2026 retreat, Baillie revealed that he was medically prescribed the general anesthetic for his clinical depression following his mom\u2019s death.<\/p>\n<p>He claimed at the retreat that he had taken the drug under medical supervision in October and November of 2022.<\/p>\n<p>In April 2026, Baillie was fired from his Netflix job, at which he makes an estimated $1.1 million annually. <\/p>\n<p>The company\u2019s attorney confirmed that \u201cthe ketamine therapy issue has factored into the termination,\u201d and that the 48-year-old exec was denied severance pay. <\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=4382\">MAGA Makes Dark Claims About McConnell\u2019s Copycat Photo<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Baillie has filed a lawsuit against the media and entertainment company, in which he claims he was investigated for alleged profanity, alcohol usage, and his comments made at the retreat.<\/p>\n<p>According to the ongoing lawsuit, an investigation was conducted into his comments shortly after the retreat, ultimately leading to his firing.<\/p>\n<p>The lawsuit also mentions Netflix\u2019s lax workplace culture that Baillie claimed was later used against him.<\/p>\n<p>According to the film producer, alcohol consumption was common during company events. Eyeline Studios CEO Jeff Shapiro even kept a personal bar in his office, from which Baillie was served after a \u201csuccessful\u201d meeting with Shapiro and Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>According to the New York Post, Baillie is seeking compensatory damages, lost wages, damages for emotional distress, punitive damages, and a trial by jury.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Baillee has previously worked on <i>Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter, <\/i>and other hit films and TV shows.
