Upon arrival, officers found a body inside the residence.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The death is being investigated by Boston Police homicide detectives, and officials have not released the identity of the dead person or disclosed a possible cause of death. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>No arrests have been announced, and investigators have not said whether foul play is suspected. Authorities have also not indicated that Harris or Pressley is connected to the circumstances surrounding the death.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement to People, a spokesperson for Pressley said the congresswoman \u201cextends her deepest condolences to the impacted family\u201d and clarified that the property is a rental home and that Pressley is not its landlord.<\/p>\n<p>Harris addressed the death in a Facebook post Saturday, thanking people for their \u201ccare and concern\u201d and writing that \u201cour family is safe.\u201d He added: \u201cMy heart goes out to the family that lost a loved one today in Mattapan.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Property records show the home is owned by Harris, who purchased the property in 2021. Neither Harris nor Pressley lives at the address, and the residence is currently listed for sale at $1.15 million.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=3801\">Airline Backtracks on \u2018Trump Airport\u2019 Rerouting Memo<\/a><\/p>\n<p>A realtor handling the property\u2019s sale told Newsweek that the house has been on the market for about a month and that the current tenants have lived there for \u201ca while.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pressley, who was elected to Congress in 2018, represents Massachusetts\u2019 7th Congressional District and is a founding member of the progressive House group commonly known as \u201cThe Squad,\u201d alongside Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, and Rashida Tlaib.<\/p>\n<p>Harris, a former senior public safety adviser at Boston City Hall, founded his own consulting firm in 2019.
