{"id":3580,"date":"2026-07-15T21:14:52","date_gmt":"2026-07-15T21:14:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=3580"},"modified":"2026-07-15T21:14:52","modified_gmt":"2026-07-15T21:14:52","slug":"squirming-vance-admits-trump-team-is-guilty-of-epstein-files-mess","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=3580","title":{"rendered":"Squirming Vance Admits Trump Team Is \u2018Guilty\u2019 of Epstein Files Mess"},"content":{"rendered":"<article>\n<p>Vice President JD Vance admitted that the Trump administration is \u201cguilty\u201d of mishandling the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files after facing a grilling from Joe Rogan. <\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=3578\">Trump\u2019s Botched Renovation Comes With Another Ugly Surprise<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Epstein files have become one of the biggest crises of President Donald Trump\u2019s second term, after he and his lieutenants first declared the case closed despite years of hyping the files\u2019 release, and then reversing course while continuing to delay the release of millions of sealed documents.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Trump, a former friend of the late pedophile, has reacted angrily to the backlash and maintains the administration has done nothing wrong, but Vance struck a different tone during Wednesday\u2019s episode of <i>The Joe Rogan Experience<\/i>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cIf people want to say we mishandled the Epstein release\u2014guilty,\u201d the 41-year-old vice president admitted bluntly. \u201cWe did mishandle it, especially the communications of it.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat do you think should have been done?\u201d asked Rogan, who had earlier noted that \u201cthere was a tremendous amount of resistance to those files being released\u201d inside the administration.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think that we should have just dropped everything at the very beginning and, like obviously, it takes a little time to review the stuff, to find the stuff, to redact things where you have victims and so forth, but we should have just done it as quickly as possible,\u201d Vance said. <\/p>\n<p>The vice president passed the blame for the administration\u2019s mishandling of the files on fired Attorney General Pam Bondi.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think she overstated what we had and what we didn\u2019t have,\u201d he said, citing Bondi\u2019s fateful claim in February 2025 of the convicted sex trafficker\u2019s client list \u201csitting on my desk.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Epstein files were only released after Congress passed the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which Trump had sought to sink, backing it only after its passage appeared inevitable.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWas there some, you know, b&#8212;-ing and moaning, and was there some back and forth? Yes,\u201d Vance admitted, but he argued that the idea that Trump was \u201cforced into\u201d releasing the documents was wrong. <\/p>\n<p>Vance also defended Trump\u2019s own extensive appearance in the Epstein files, saying, \u201cI\u2019ve never seen a single piece of cred\u2014credible evidence that the president of the United States engaged in wrongdoing with minors. Ever.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added, \u201cSo, like, when the president says \u2018the hoax,\u2019 that\u2019s what he\u2019s talking about. It\u2019s this democratic idea that he somehow was a\u2014was a pedophile. It\u2019s absurd. Yes.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>The DOJ has not released all the files; 2.5 million documents remain sealed from public view. Many of the unsealed documents remain heavily redacted.<\/p>\n<p>Rogan, 58, pointed out that \u201csome of the names that were redacted weren\u2019t victims.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The vice president replied that it is \u201csometimes hard to draw a distinction between victim and co-conspirator,\u201d before attacking Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna, who co-authored the Epstein Files Transparency Act. <\/p>\n<p>A bombshell report in The New York Times last month revealed the extraordinary lengths the White House went to in order to protect Trump from the Epstein files fallout, including convening meetings in the Situation Room to quell outrage that had spilled into the ranks of MAGA.<\/p>\n<p>Vance, who presided over those meetings last summer, emerged as a central figure in the expos\u00e9, which portrayed him as being panicked and wanting to rip the Band-Aid off by releasing the DOJ\u2019s millions of files even if it damaged Trump. <\/p>\n<p>The Times reported that some Trump officials viewed Vance as having embraced the darkest Epstein theories, with Trump\u2019s chief of staff Susie Wiles reportedly telling others that Vance was a major conspiracy theorist.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to Rogan, Vance called the Times article, \u201csomewhat true, somewhat false.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut where Susie Wiles, the White House chief of staff, says, \u2018Well, we know JD\u2019s a conspiracy theorist on this.\u2019 Like, I am actually,\u201d Vance said. <\/p>\n<p>He later added, \u201cThere\u2019s a story there and, you know, I will go to my deathbed believing there is a story there, but I can\u2019t prove it.
