A raging Donald Trump has said the shaky peace deal with Iran is \u201cover\u201d as the two countries exchange fire. <\/p>\n

Speaking at a NATO summit in Ankara, Turkey, the 80-year-old president said that he no longer wants to negotiate with Iran because they are \u201cscum\u201d after the Middle East country targeted three oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz, as well as hitting U.S. military sites in Bahrain and Kuwait.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cThey\u2019re sick people, they\u2019re led by sick people. They\u2019re vicious, violent people. If they had a nuclear weapon, they\u2019d use it. As far as I\u2019m concerned, it\u2019s over,\u201d Trump said. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Trump added that he will allow his special envoy Steve Witkoff and son-in-law Jared Kushner to continue trying to negotiate with Iran, but the president believes it is \u201cjust a waste of time dealing with them.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re liars. We make a deal\u2026 Everyone\u2019s agreed, no nuclear weapon. They go outside, talk to the press, they say \u2018we never even talked about it.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s something wrong with them, they\u2019re cuckoo. As far as I\u2019m concerned, it\u2019s over.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, the U.S. Central Command launched \u2060a \u2060series of \u201cpowerful\u201d \u200bstrikes against dozens of Iranian targets in what was the largest exchange of fire between the two countries since a \u201cmemorandum of understanding\u201d (MOU) for a ceasefire deal was signed in June. <\/p>\n

Both countries have frequently accused each other of violating the ceasefire agreed in April. Iran has also said that Israel is violating the peace deal by continuing to attack the Iranian-backed military group Hezbollah in Lebanon.<\/p>\n

Trump was heavily criticized for giving far too many concessions to Iran, without much in return, for June\u2019s MOU.<\/p>\n

The deal included pledges from Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, which it already was before the war broke out, and establishing a $300 billion fund to help Tehran rebuild the country if certain conditions are met.<\/p>\n

The MOU also did not formalize any plans to ensure that Iran would end its nuclear program and guarantee that it would not obtain nuclear weapons, only for talks to continue for at least another 60 days.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re bad people, and frankly, I don\u2019t want to waste my time with them,\u201d Trump said in Ankara. \u201cNow, I\u2019ll let our wonderful negotiators keep talking if they want, but I don\u2019t see it. I don\u2019t like these people.\u201d <\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

Elsewhere, NATO chief Mark Rutte, who frequently fawns over the president he calls \u201cdaddy,\u201d said it was \u201cabsolutely necessary\u201d that the U.S. retaliated to Iran\u2019s attacks as Tehran was \u201cbasically violating the ceasefire.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it is totally crucial that the U.S. forcefully [reacts],\u201d Rutte said with Trump by his side in Ankara. <\/p>\n
