{"id":2914,"date":"2026-07-06T05:12:05","date_gmt":"2026-07-06T05:12:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=2914"},"modified":"2026-07-06T05:12:05","modified_gmt":"2026-07-06T05:12:05","slug":"nasa-goon-defied-federal-agency-to-fly-jet-in-trumps-show","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=2914","title":{"rendered":"NASA Goon Defied Federal Agency to Fly Jet in Trump\u2019s Show"},"content":{"rendered":"<article>\n<p>Donald Trump\u2019s top NASA goon flew his vintage fighter jet at the president\u2019s Fourth of July air show at the capital despite safety concerns from federal officials.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=2912\">Trump Unravels With 100-Plus Posting Spree After Holiday Humiliation<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Jared Isaacman, Trump\u2019s NASA administrator, flew a Northrop F-5 Tiger II jet, which was introduced in 1972, as part of the president\u2019s Independence Day air show on Saturday, according to The Wall Street Journal.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>However, when the billionaire aviator tried to get approval from the Federal Aviation Administration last month for NASA and Air Force pilots to fly four of the jets, his request was denied.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>In a June 30 decision signed by Hugh Thomas, the acting director of the agency\u2019s flight standards service, the FAA deemed the aircraft \u201cvery high risk\u201d due to issues with the jets\u2019 flight controls and previous crashes, the Rupert Murdoch-owned newspaper reported.<\/p>\n<p>Issacman, 43, defended the F-5s in an interview with the Journal, noting their decades of service and the number of jets currently in operation.<\/p>\n<p>He also claimed that using the jets for the flyover was separate from the rules civilian aviators have to abide by, exempting government aircraft from the FAA\u2019s jurisdiction.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt never should have been a civil operation from the get go,\u201d he told the Journal.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=2910\">MAGA Melts Down at Female Singer\u2019s Plea on 250th Anniversary<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Daily Beast has reached out to NASA and the FAA for comment.<\/p>\n<p>When reached for comment, a Freedom250 spokesperson referred the Daily Beast to NASA.<\/p>\n<p>Transporation Secretary Sean Duffy, who oversees the FAA, approved the agency\u2019s safety decision and didn\u2019t intervene, the newspaper reported.
