{"id":2721,"date":"2026-07-02T19:12:41","date_gmt":"2026-07-02T19:12:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=2721"},"modified":"2026-07-02T19:12:41","modified_gmt":"2026-07-02T19:12:41","slug":"trumps-fat-fingers-are-all-over-my-melania-lawsuit-wolff","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=2721","title":{"rendered":"Trump\u2019s Fat Fingers Are All Over My Melania Lawsuit: Wolff"},"content":{"rendered":"<article>\n<p>Author Michael Wolff has claimed that President Donald Trump\u2019s legal team is working behind the scenes in his lawsuit against first lady Melania Trump.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=2719\">Empty State Fair Steals Spotlight From Top Trump Goon\u2019s Interview<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In a new column for his Substack, HOWL, Wolff wrote about his lawsuit against the first lady, which U.S. District Court Judge Mary Kay Vyskocil, a Trump-appointed judge in the Southern District of New York, dismissed in May 2026, calling it a \u201ccontorted\u201d effort to prevent Melania from suing him, saying that \u201cis not how the federal courts work.\u201d Wolff is appealing the decision.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>He said it seems to him there is a \u201cstrong indication of how directly [the lawsuit] appears to be overseen by the White House.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>He writes that it is not \u201ca particular surprise\u201d but that it offers \u201canother insight into Trump law, and Trump justice, and litigation as another arm of Trump\u2019s command-and-control tactics.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe White House today is peopled by, and depends on, lawyers who have decided to sacrifice their careers for Trump\u2014or, at least, the possibilities of having careers outside of the world of Donald Trump,\u201d Wolff wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Wolff particularly points out longtime Trump lawyer Boris Epshteyn, who Wolff says \u201carguably holds the single most influential legal portfolio in Trump world,\u201d including his partnership with Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, who is also a former personal attorney for the president.<\/p>\n<p>As it relates to his lawsuit against Melania, Wolff said that the first lady\u2019s lawyers \u201cin Trump fashion\u201d had filed a request for sanctions, known as Rule 11, which Wolff called a \u201cpecious, ridiculous, and shameless claim,\u201d but said it was \u201cfar from the most telling sign of Trump law at work.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=2717\">Mitch McConnell\u2019s Goons Cornered on Truth About His Health<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Wolff said that before the judge\u2019s ruling, he \u201creceived a text from Boris Epshteyn that read: \u2018Hey team\u2013what\u2019s our timing on Rule 11? Reading filing now.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A few minutes later, he received another text reading \u201cWrong recipient\u2014please delete.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wolff explained that \u201cEpshteyn is a frequent off-the-record communicator with the press, and we have been in touch at various times as I\u2019ve written about Trump. Hence, my presence in his address book. Hence, a text in all likelihood about me mistakenly went to me (or not mistakenly\u2026 but as another act of intimidation?).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When the Daily Beast reached out to the White House for comment, spokesman Davis Ingle said, \u201cMichael Wolff is a lying piece of s&#8211;t.\u201d <\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Ingle, 32, is a communications graduate of Florida\u2019s Southeastern University, where his father, Kent Ingle, is president.
