Marsha Blackburn suffered an awkward moment as she repeatedly tried to evade a reporter\u2019s questions while desperately waiting for an elevator door to open.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=2630\">Trump\u2019s Secret Fury Over Crowd Size Humiliation for State Fair Revealed<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Tennessee Republican is the frontrunner in the GOP primary race to become the state\u2019s next governor.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>However, Blackburn is refusing to debate her Republican opponents and has not been giving media interviews to promote her campaign.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The team at Tennessee news outlet NewsChannel 5 approached Blackburn after she spoke at an event to try to get her to answer some basic questions about her run for governor.<\/p>\n<p>However, Blackburn essentially stonewalled every question, repeatedly replying, \u201cWe\u2019re talking to Tennesseans every single day,\u201d as she waited to escape in an elevator.<\/p>\n<p>After being approached by NewsChannel 5\u2019s Ben Hall, one of Blackburn\u2019s aides suggested she did \u201chave time right now\u201d to respond to questions about her gubernatorial bid.<\/p>\n<p>Blackburn then added, \u201cWe were doing a federal event, but thank you very much.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell, we were told you were going to answer some questions. Why don\u2019t you have time to talk? Shouldn\u2019t you talk to voters about what you plan to do as governor?\u201d Hall responded.<\/p>\n<p>Blackburn then replied that while she is not doing media interviews, she is letting voters know her plans \u201cevery single day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=2629\">E. Why won\u2019t you debate your Republican opponents?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re talking to Tennesseans every single day, every single day,\u201d Blackburn replied.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDo voters have a right to hear from you?\u201d an undeterred Hall asked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are talking to individuals every single day,\u201d she responded again.<\/p>\n<p>The farce continued until the elevator doors finally opened. Once inside, Blackburn also dodged a question about why she changed her mind and voted to certify the 2020 election results in favor of Joe Biden after originally saying she would object before the Jan. 6 Capitol attack. <\/p>\n<p>Steve Gill, a veteran conservative political commentator, told NewsChannel 5 that Blackburn appears to be \u201crunning out the clock\u201d in her primary campaign, knowing she is the overwhelming favorite to win.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not sure it\u2019s a policy strategy.
