It was embarrassing. I was embarrassed to be an American.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<blockquote>\n<p>#LarryDavid says President Donald Trump&#8217;s UFC fight at the White House made him &#8220;embarrassed to be an American.&#8221; pic.twitter.com\/zFlCfeOwyG<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Variety (@Variety) June 24, 2026<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>David, who is no stranger to ridiculing Trump and his MAGA supporters, is not the only one who was ashamed to see Trump put on a UFC event at the White House under the guise of the America250 celebrations.<\/p>\n<p>The South Lawn of the White House had to be desecrated to accommodate the enormous structure known as \u201cThe Claw,\u201d as well as the Octagon fighting arena.<\/p>\n<p>The embarrassing event also featured one of Trump\u2019s cryptocurrency meme coins as a sponsor, while the grifting president\u2019s Truth Social platform sponsored one of the fights.<\/p>\n<p>Worst of all, the event was marred by a vile slur from heavyweight fighter Josh Hokit, who called former first lady Michelle Obama \u201ca man\u201d after defeating Derrick Lewis in the second round of their fight.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=2122\">Trump Defends Iran in Wild All-Caps Rant<\/a><\/p>\n<p>During an interview on <i>The Ariel Helwani Show<\/i>, hosted by the Canadian-American sports journalist, Hokit offered a risible excuse while defending his remarks about Michelle Obama.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI thought I was giving her a compliment,\u201d Hokit told Helwani. \u201cIt\u2019s like, she knows how to deal with adversity. She knows how to work hard like a man when the times get tough. You know\u2026 the tough keep going.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere, David also teased details of an appearance by Trump\u2019s arch-nemesis, former President Barack Obama, in one of the sketches in <i>Pursuit of Unhappiness<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>David said having Obama as a scene partner was \u201creally trippy,\u201d adding that the former president\u2019s comic timing is \u201cperfect.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s really good at ad-libbing, because the scene was ad-libbed, and he was really good at it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When asked by Variety whether the show could provide Obama with a chance to win an acting Emmy to go alongside his three Outstanding Narrator awards, David replied: \u201cI wouldn\u2019t go that far.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Daily Beast has contacted the White House for comment. <\/p>\n<div>\n<p><i>Obsessed with pop culture and entertainment?
