{"id":1686,"date":"2026-06-18T06:42:33","date_gmt":"2026-06-18T06:42:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=1686"},"modified":"2026-06-18T06:42:33","modified_gmt":"2026-06-18T06:42:33","slug":"why-cornered-trump-is-in-full-iran-denial-mode-scaramucci","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=1686","title":{"rendered":"Why Cornered Trump Is in Full Iran Denial Mode: Scaramucci"},"content":{"rendered":"<article>\n<p>A former top aide to Donald Trump says the president has descended into \u201cfive-stage denialism\u201d over his deal with Iran as he attempts to outrun the reality of his \u201cabject failure.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=1684\">Trump Loyalists Call BS on His \u2018Terrible\u2019 Peace Deal<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Leaked copies of the 14-point peace plan have revealed the extraordinary concessions Trump made to Iran in order to bring an end to the war he started more than four months ago.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Under the phased framework, which has not yet been finalized, Trump would reportedly allow temporary coordination of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, ease certain U.S. sanctions on the repressive regime, and permit access to billions in frozen Iranian assets, while backing a proposed $300 billion reconstruction fund.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The 80-year-old president\u2019s goal of eliminating Iran\u2019s nuclear capabilities has been kicked down the road to future talks, while his hopes for regime change never materialized, let alone his previous demand for \u201cUNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Still, Trump has sought to cast the agreement as a victory for the United States. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn Sunday, we reached an agreement with Iran that achieves everything we set out to accomplish\u2014everything and much more,\u201d he claimed in a speech at the G7 summit in France on Wednesday. <\/p>\n<p>But the president\u2019s former communications director, Anthony Scaramucci, said on <i>The Daily Beast Podcast<\/i> that \u201cin his quiet moments in his mind, he understands that this has been a disaster.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Scaramucci worked on Trump\u2019s 2016 campaign before joining the first Trump administration as a presidential assistant. He later served a 10-day stint as White House communications director in July 2017, after which he became a vocal Trump critic. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve been part of that,\u201d he told host Joanna Coles. \u201cI know how his mind really works. He\u2019s exposed a seam of weakness in the American military doctrine. He\u2019s hurt our allies in the Gulf. He\u2019s probably caused, by our estimates here at SkyBridge, $700 to $800 billion of global economic damage in terms of higher prices, less consumption, energy supply shock, ensuing inflation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But Scaramucci, 62, argued that the president will never admit that his war was a mistake, and will instead insist on his own version of events long after reality has moved on. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe lacquering part of Trump and the denialism of Trump, which has been the cornerstone of his success for his entire public life, is now what\u2019s kicked in,\u201d he said. \u201cYou\u2019ve heard of five-stage clingers? He\u2019s gonna go into five-stage denialism. And he\u2019s gonna triple down on this. And he\u2019s gonna start saying things to people that are absolutely not true.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Scaramucci argued that Trump settled for the short end of the stick with Iran because he was desperate to \u201cget out of this situation and get the prices lower in the United States and the Strait semi-opened.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the G7 summit, Trump outlined his fear of becoming \u201cthe next Herbert Hoover\u201d\u2014the U.S. president widely blamed for the Great Depression of 1929.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u200bI didn\u2019t want to see economic catastrophe.
