{"id":1269,"date":"2026-06-12T11:38:32","date_gmt":"2026-06-12T11:38:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=1269"},"modified":"2026-06-12T11:38:32","modified_gmt":"2026-06-12T11:38:32","slug":"judge-tears-into-trump-goons-in-blistering-ruling-no-excuse","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=1269","title":{"rendered":"Judge Tears Into Trump Goons in Blistering Ruling: \u2018No Excuse\u2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<article>\n<p>A federal judge blasted Donald Trump\u2019s U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services for not complying with his order to resume immigration processing that had been suspended after two National Guard members were shot last year. <\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=1267\">\u2018Meet the Press\u2019 Host Reveals What Trump Told Her After He Stormed Off<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Trump administration stopped processing immigration benefits and froze asylum requests for applicants from 39 countries in response to the November shooting, which left one of the troops dead and the other injured. <\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Rhode Island District Judge John McConnell  last week the policy was unlawful and arbitrary, and had left countless people \u201cwithout work, without legal status, and without any meaningful ability to plan for their futures\u201d based solely on their countries of birth. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>After USCIS failed to resume processing applications this week, McConnell, an Obama appointee, wrote an  instructing the government to comply with his ruling.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt should almost go without saying\u2014but the Court will say it anyway\u2026 court orders vacating and setting aside agency policies have <i>immediate <\/i>effect once they are issued,\u201d he wrote. \u201cThere is no excuse this time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The ruling came in response to a request from the plaintiffs\u2014a coalition of labor unions and immigrant right groups\u2014to force the administration to follow last week\u2019s decision. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cUSCIS\u2019s Challenged Policies are no longer in effect,\u201d McConnell wrote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo be perfectly clear,\u201d that means they are are \u201cvacated,\u201d \u201cset aside,\u201d \u201ccanceled,\u201d \u201cannulled,\u201d \u201crevoked,\u201d and \u201cvoided,\u201d he added, citing the dictionary. <\/p>\n<p>The decision requires USCIS to begin processing hundreds of thousands of suspended applications, according to the American Immigration Council.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=1265\">MAGA-Curious CBS Boss Humiliated in \u201860 Minutes\u2019 Rehiring Bid<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Government lawyers told The Washington Post they planned to appeal the ruling and seek a stay to block McConnell\u2019s order while the appeals process plays out. <\/p>\n<p>The Daily Beast has also reached out to the USCIS for comment. <\/p>\n<p>On Nov. 26, West Virginia National Guard members Sarah Beckstrom and Andrew Wolfe\u2014who had been deployed to Washington, D.C., as part of Trump\u2019s federal takeover\u2014were ambushed two blocks from the White House. <\/p>\n<p>Beckstrom, 20, died from her injuries the next day, while Wolfe, now 25, suffered serious injuries but survived. <\/p>\n<p>The suspect in the case, Rahmanullah Lakanwal, was an Afghan special forces soldier with a CIA-backed unit before he entered the U.S. in 2022 and was granted asylum by the Trump administration in March 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The president nevertheless used the shooting as an excuse to attack immigrants, accuse the Biden administration of failing to vet asylum seekers, and announce his plans to \u201cpermanently pause migration from all Third World Countries\u201d to \u201callow the U.S. system to fully recover\u201d from a supposed influx of \u201cillegal and disruptive populations.\u201d <\/p>\n<div>\n<p>\u201cOnly REVERSE MIGRATION can fully cure this situation,\u201d Trump wrote in a Truth Social post in the days following the shooting. \u201cOther than that, HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL, except those that hate, steal, murder, and destroy everything that America stands for \u2014 You won\u2019t be here for long!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=1264\">Kennedy Center Goons Launch Last-Ditch Bid to Avoid Trump\u2019s Humiliation<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A federal judge blasted Donald Trump\u2019s U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services for not complying with his order to resume immigration processing that had been suspended after two National Guard members were shot last year.
