You feel that there aren\u2019t jobs for you in this country. I\u2019m your guy,\u2019\u201d she continued. \u201cAnd now, many of those people who don\u2019t necessarily have a political affiliation, or not, with Donald Trump anymore are just saying, \u2018This country, this world, doesn\u2019t work. I\u2019m ready to break the system.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Coles asked Ruhle whether Trump\u2019s Big Beautiful Bill\u2014legislation that hiked up healthcare premiums, lowered taxes for high earners, and ultimately shifted wealth toward the richest Americans\u2014will impact Trump in the midterms.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t think it has a direct knock-on effect. I think your average person, even your informed person, can\u2019t\u2014isn\u2019t digging that much into the Big Beautiful Bill,&#8221; <i>The<\/i> <i>11th Hour<\/i> host said. \u201cBut they\u2019re just looking at life, right? They\u2019re just saying, \u2018My life doesn\u2019t work for me.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would say great journalism is alive and well and strong as ever,\u201d Ruhle explained. \u201cEvery single day, there\u2019s another story out there about the grift. There\u2019s another story out there about World Liberty Financial and the president\u2019s crypto business, or the president suddenly, you know, buying thousands and thousands of shares of companies that he just met with.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Reached for comment on Ruhle\u2019s remarks, White House spokesperson Anna Kelly told the Daily Beast: \u201cCalling this left-wing hack a \u2018journalist\u2019 is generous.\u201d<\/p>\n<div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Trump, 79, has used his position as the leader of the free world to greatly boost his own family\u2019s wealth. Since taking office last January, the president and his family have made an estimated $2.5 billion from various digital schemes, according to the House Oversight Democrats\u2019 Trump Family Corruption Tracker.<\/p>\n<p>Chief among the president\u2019s numerous other grifts was his attempt to create a $1.8 billion slush fund of taxpayer money to compensate his political allies, potentially including Jan. 6 rioters.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=1172\">Hegseth Says Quiet Part Out Loud in Shocking Gitmo Remark<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Justice Department, helmed by Trump\u2019s former personal lawyer Todd Blanche, said earlier this month that it would abandon the fund after it was blocked by the courts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPeople see that, right? They don\u2019t necessarily dial back into what was in the Big Beautiful Bill, what tax breaks were given. But they just say, \u2018Hold on. You\u2019re the person in office,\u2019\u201d Ruhle said. \u201c\u2018You now, finally, have the supreme wealth you always said you did. A group of business people are wealthier beyond belief, and I\u2019m not. This isn\u2019t working.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd I don\u2019t think this is unique to President Trump. Listen\u2014what hurt Joe Biden, what hurt Kamala Harris, is that people were still struggling economically,&#8221; Ruhle. \u201cAnd they look and see and they say, \u2018Who\u2019s in the White House?\u2019 And they blame that person.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat\u2019s unique about Donald Trump is: the reason many of these people are struggling economically is a direct result of his policies,\u201d she concluded.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>Since the president started his war on Iran, which has raged for over 15 weeks with no end in sight, Americans have had to deal with the economic consequences.<\/p>\n<p>After Iran closed off the Strait of Hormuz, a critical trade corridor through which roughly 27 percent of the world\u2019s oil supply travels, average domestic gas prices have skyrocketed to as high as $4.50 per gallon.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>On Wednesday, the latest Bureau of Labor Statistics  found that the Consumer Price Index rose 4.2 percent in May compared with a year ago.
