{"id":1064,"date":"2026-06-09T14:10:47","date_gmt":"2026-06-09T14:10:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=1064"},"modified":"2026-06-09T14:10:47","modified_gmt":"2026-06-09T14:10:47","slug":"keystone-kash-leaps-into-new-maga-civil-war","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=1064","title":{"rendered":"Keystone Kash Leaps Into New MAGA Civil War"},"content":{"rendered":"<article>\n<p>Kash Patel is embroiled in a new MAGA-on-MAGA feud involving the FBI investigation into the 2024 assassination attempt against Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=1062\">Crowd-Size Obsessed Trump Faces Embarrassing World Cup Problem<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The conservative activist group Judicial Watch has spent years suing the federal government and spreading conspiracy theories about the supposed \u201cdeep state,\u201d including filing lawsuits over Hillary Clinton\u2019s emails and Hunter Biden\u2019s laptop. <\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The group and its president, Tom Fitton, originally applauded Patel\u2019s appointment as FBI director, only to accuse him last year of being \u201ctaken hostage by the Deep State\u201d over the Trump administration\u2019s effort to block the release of the Epstein files. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Now, Fitton\u2014who is one of Trump\u2019s favorite legal advisers despite not having a law degree\u2014has gone scorched earth on Patel after he and the FBI accused him of spreading a \u201cCLICK BAIT LIE\u201d about the Butler investigation. <\/p>\n<p>Last week, Judicial Watch announced it had received 48 pages of heavily redacted files from the FBI\u2019s investigation into Thomas Matthew Crooks, the 20-year-old gunman who fired at Trump during a campaign rally on July 13, 2024, barely missing the then-candidate before being shot and killed by the Secret Service. <\/p>\n<p>The files were obtained through a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit, and initially Judicial Watch claimed they showed that Crooks had exchanged emails with a Butler County sheriff\u2019s deputy before the July 13 shooting. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a CLICK BAIT LIE by @JudicialWatch which is now nothing more than the fake news media!\u201d the FBI\u2019s \u201cRapid Response\u201d communications team wrote on X.com in response to a post from Fitton sharing the supposed findings. \u201cMaybe if you spent more time on Facts instead of clicks you wouldn\u2019t be a laughing stock.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The unredacted documents showed that Crooks had emailed his college instructors, not police officers, the FBI post said. <\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=1060\">Trump Sets Damning Record With All-Female Firing Spree<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Patel then shared the Rapid Response post, writing, \u201cFacts over click bait.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Fitton replied that his organization had \u201cfairly interpreted heavily redacted documents\u201d produced by the FBI and DOJ after almost two years of delays and litigation, and demanded an apology. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat @FBIDirectorKash would promote this malicious, false and juvenile FBI post is disturbing,\u201d he wrote. \u201cTo call me and @JudicialWathc liars for doing so \u2014 based on secret material which you have withheld from us and the court \u2014 is beneath contempt.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>He then deleted his original post and updated Judicial Watch\u2019s press release to correct the original analysis, but blamed the mistake on the FBI \u201chiding\u201d the information and continued to blast the FBI\u2019s \u201cdangerous smears.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The irony is that Fitton regularly accuses his political opponents of being liars while pushing his own baseless conspiracy theories. <\/p>\n<p>He called Democratic Sen. Adam Schiff of California a \u201cliar in chief\u201d for his role in investigating Russian interference in the 2016 election, blasted Wikipedia for being a \u201csmear machine of the Left,\u201d and has generally spent his career accusing the national security establishment, media, Democrats, and federal bureaucracy of various cover-ups. <\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, he has been a major proponent of Trump\u2019s baseless claims that he won the 2020 election, making him one of the president\u2019s most trusted informal legal advisers despite not being a lawyer, Democracy Docket reported in 2024. <\/p>\n<p>In one of his posts about the Butler shooting, Fitton fumed, \u201cWhy is @FBIDirectorKash\u2019s FBI attacking me and Judicial Watch instead of following @RealDonaldTrump\u2019s standard of maximum transparency?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/nationwideinterstatemovers.com\/?p=1059\">MAGA Reality Star Candidate Suffers Humiliating Defeat<\/a><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The Daily Beast has reached out to the FBI for comment. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kash Patel is embroiled in a new MAGA-on-MAGA feud involving the FBI investigation into the 2024 assassination attempt against Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania.
