Lauren Boebert’s Son in Biggest Trouble Yet Over New Charges

MAGA Rep. Lauren Boebert’s son has been hit with his most serious charges yet.

Tyler Boebert, 21, the eldest of the Colorado lawmaker’s four sons, is facing five felony counts in Garfield County District Court: sexual exploitation of a child, induce/entice, sexual exploitation of a child, possession with intent; sexual exploitation of a child, video; and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to Muckrakers Today.

Court records show that the alleged offenses began on January 1, 2024, when Tyler was 18.

The case was filed Aug. 6. Court records indicate that his bail was set at $10,000 Friday and that he was released that day.

No further details were released about the allegations.

Tyler, who became a father at 18 when his son was born in June 2023, has not addressed the charges.

His congresswoman mother said in a statement to the Daily Mail, “I love my son. We take these allegations very seriously and pray for everyone affected during this challenging time.”

Tyler has faced a string of legal troubles in recent years. In September 2022, he received a ticket for careless driving after allegedly flipping his dad’s SUV into a local creek bed, with the vehicle’s passenger suffering severe lacerations to their hand and multiple concussions, Westworld reported.

That case was eventually downgraded to a “defective vehicle for headlights” citation after he entered into a plea deal with prosecutors in Garfield County, where the family lives.

In January 2024, Tyler reportedly phoned 911 to claim his father, Jayson, Lauren Boebert’s ex-husband, had assaulted him, pushing him “to the ground and [pushing] his thumb into his mouth” while carrying a rifle, according to Westworld.

Jayson was subsequently arrested and charged with six crimes, three of which related to a domestic violence incident involving the MAGA representative at a restaurant earlier that month.

Weeks later, Tyler himself was arrested and charged with 22 crimes, including five felonies, in connection with a series of thefts and the use of credit cards stolen from several local gas stations.

In a statement at the time, Lauren Boebert said, “I love my son Tyler, who has been through some very difficult, public challenges for a young man and the subject of attention that he didn’t ask for. It breaks my heart to see my child struggling and, in this situation, especially when he has been provided multiple opportunities to get his life on track.”

Since then, Tyler has also been charged in two separate child abuse cases involving his young son allegedly wandering away while in his care.

In February, he was cited for child abuse without injury after allegedly allowing the then-two-year-old to wander off from a family home in Windsor, Colorado.

He received a citation for “criminal negligence where no death or injury occurred.” This case is due to be sentenced next month, and his mother is set to testify on his behalf.

Tyler also faces a separate sentencing hearing next month in Weld County, after being slapped with a misdemeanor charge of child abuse last July. The congresswoman described the incident that led to the case as “a miscommunication on monitoring my young grandson that recently led to him getting out of our house.”

He said in a statement at the time that it was a “one-time incident that we have addressed as a family.”

The congresswoman, meanwhile, is herself is no stranger to controversy, making headlines over the years for her far-right rhetoric and promotion of conspiracy theories about the 2020 election, to mention nothing of her outlandish behaviour that has included, among other things, heckling former President Joe Biden during his State of the Union address, getting booted out of a movie theater for vaping and fondling her date, and bringing a loaded gun into Congress.
